extend information bar
Under the process bar of the player is displayed: 32-bit 96 kHz 3.1 Mbps M/LPCM
I guess this is the information about the audio file.
But the audio files are AIFF 24-bit (not 32-bit).
By comparison all AIFF 16-bit 44.1 kHz are displayed correctly as 16-bit.
Is this a bug or how should I understand the difference?

Re: 24-bit displayed as 32-bit?
The process bar shows input, output or nothing. You can switch between the three with the 3-dot-bottom in the lower right corner. Make sure you display the input, not the output. If it then show 32 bit for 24 bit, then that means that Neutron processes 24 bit with 32 bit arithmetics, probably for technical reasons. No need to worry.
Re: 24-bit displayed as 32-bit?
I know about the three sections and I would not ask if I meant the output. I spoke about the second section after "nothing": this is input right?
And here it shows 32-bit for 24-bit. (and I have hundreds of files 24/96).
Now I dithered a comparable AIFF file to 16-bit 96 kHz and it displays 16-bit correctly.
Maybe someone could confirm my issue?

Re: 24-bit displayed as 32-bit?
As I said before, that means that Neutron uses 32-bit arithmetics for 24-bit input. If you switch Settings > Playback > 64-bit Processing on then you'll see 64 bit.
Re: 24-bit displayed as 32-bit?
I kinda would like if I could see both input and output at the same time... But I guess I should say that in the other party of the forum.
Re: 24-bit displayed as 32-bit?
I'll move this topic to development. So you propose an optionally extended information bar.
Re: extend information bar
another idea : a long press on the 3-dot-button could open a window that shows information about the chain of processing
