Hello,
I listen to a lot of hour long mixes, and I find it difficult to scroll through the mix, as the scroller ball is so small.
I really like how soundcloud has done their scroller, maybe in a future release, Neutron could incorporate something like this?

Basically, you just drag the wave spectrum left or right. Much easier than the little scroller ball. This link is for mobile, if it isn't visible, here's a screenshot:

Thanks!
An easier to use track position scroller
Re: An easier to use track position scroller
I don't think the Spotify method is doable or useful for an app like Neutron. It must render the waveform of the full song, which at longer mixes like yours takes several seconds, and uses quite some CPU. Additionally then you would have to think about a cache or storage place of these waveform graphics so they don'ät need to be rendered again on next start. That will need memory and cleanup methods.
The position slider could be improved quite easily by adding the standard method of iOS when scrolling through videos. Move the finger away from the slider bar to enter a 'zoom' mode which allows to fine-position precisely. The more far away the more the higher resolution in time.
