Issue with "Play Track Once (Next)"

Post by Alberto » Sun Aug 02, 2020 8:14 am

Assumed there are 3 tracks in a playlist. After playing no. 1 playback stops and goes to no. 2. but track does not play and cannot be started either. Only manually skipping to no. 3 activates playback. Maybe this occurs since update to iOS 13.6 (from 13.5) I am not sure.
Anyone else with this issue?

Check Settings > Playback > Playback Mode and choose the behaviour you want. Enable Settings > User Interface > Playing Now > Play Back Mode Button to get a button for this on the main playing screen. Should this not have been the problem then remove the second song from the playlist, try another playlist, add the song to other playlists etc.

Thanks blaubär. What you suggest I did before I asked here. The button "Play Track Once (Next)" is active on the playing screen for many month now. And track no. 2 is not the problem, the issue happens in every playlist. With DAC or without DAC, every sample rate ...
Now I deleted the source (iTunes/all) and loaded again. Also refreshed the playlists. Nothing helps, issue remains.

At every playlist at track no 2 ? So let's say if you've got 8 tracks you can play from 3 to 8 ?

Then I suggest you try "Play Track List Once" instead - does that help ?

No, I should be more precisely - it's always the second track that blocks. This at every position in a playlist. Only 1 track plays, then it stops, goes to next but the second cannot be started. Play button works, but no sound and no time schedule. (skipping plays the third track after blocking again).

Yes I know, this one works but I don't understand why "Play Track Once (Next)" does not work! I am pretty sure that this one worked fine before.

I locate this issue on iPod touch 7. Gen. and iPhone SE 2016 - both iOS 13.6.
