[Problem] clips after 2.13\14.x update
[Problem] clips after 2.13\14.x update
I use galaxy note 7 (Exynos 8890) with android 9. after the last update from the market (eval) to version 2.13 there were constant overloads and clips on the same tracks on any listening source. 2.14.1 is also with problems. did normalization several times - it didn’t help. After the rollback to version 2.12.19, clipping disappeared. Please consider this bug in future updates.

Could you tell us more about the "overloads and clips" ? Do you mean the signal exceeded 0 dB ? What happens if you disable the equalizer and set the preamp to 0 ?Rotwild.n wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 6:25 amI use galaxy note 7 (Exynos 8890) with android 9. after the last update from the market (eval) to version 2.13 there were constant overloads and clips on the same tracks on any listening source. 2.14.1 is also with problems. did normalization several times - it didn’t help. yes, signal exeed. The situation improves somewhat when the equalizer is turned off, but in some songs, overloads are still heard. mostly where there are mids and highs. a vivid example on the track Rammstein - zeig dich from 0.35 (guitar intro). lowering the volume does not solve the problem, preamp -10 also only partially removes peaks. on version 2.12.9, the same track plays cleanly with the same settings. the other player is playing cleanly. system equalizer off.

Re: [Problem] clips after 2.13\14.x update
So the equalizer is active. Then you'll have to decrease preamp further.
Re: [Problem] clips after 2.13\14.x update
... and make sure Audio hardware > Channels ist set to a meaningful value .... and do you really need speaker time alignment ? and compressor ? I would have thought Rammstein mixed their albums loud
Re: [Problem] clips after 2.13\14.x update
Rammstein has a peak level of nearly 0 dB and an average DR of only 7 dB. That means :
- any increase in the equalizer will result in clipping if you don't counteract with a strong decrease in preamp level
- there is no point in further compressing these already heavily compressed songs, doing so might lead to distortion
