upmix output to 5.1
I use Neutron on an Android phone.
When playing to Chromecast or some other digital destination, is there a way to upmix all output to 5.1?
Most of my sources are plain stereo, 2.0, but the sound system in the living room is 5.1. When I play music from the Windows PC to the sound system, I use Foobar2000 and within that player I can easily upmix all output to 5.1, so I get sound from all speakers. The L channel is sent to FL and SL, the R channel is sent to FR and SR, and the C channel gets a mix of L and R. This is a simple plugin that you can activate in Foobar2000.
I tried to do that when playing from Android / Neutron to Chromcast, but I could not find an option in Neutron for upmix.
I know in some cases you can upmix in the A/V receiver, I do not have that option in this case. I must upmix at the source (PC, Android).

You can go to Settings > Audio Hardware > Channels to set the number of channels.
You can quickly access Audio Hardware by long pressing the Preamp Button in EQ pane.
In the Audio Hardware menu, scroll down to last and you can set your channels there.

Re: upmix output to 5.1
You can attenuate and/or delay the signal to the different speakers. Use case : eg when you are unable to obtain a listening position with equal distance to the left and right loudspeakers.
