Experienced slow playback when play songs thru' FTP server in Neutron under 'Network' section.Specially, when change the track to next or previous.
Tested the playback on KODI with FTP server enabled in Neutron.Any body else seeing this problem....

does the problem persists ?

Yes.The problem is still there in Neutron FTP.Its too slow even after the latest update.I bought a new FTP server on play store from Banana Studio and its very fast.

Could you try SFTP ? There are reports that it works faster than FTP.

I am talking here for section of FTP in network not in section of Media Library in Neutron settings.I know SFTP (Receiver) is better than FTP (Receiver) under media library....but FTP (sender) is too slow under network section.

I've never used this feature, but try to see if tour router has UPnP enabled. And see if you can see which ports are being used with Neutron and Banana. Maybe banana has passive FTP and Neutron has active, I'm guessing here... But I point probably to a port issue.

I see Neutron is listening on port 5200. Are you taking that into account when setting up in Kodi?

Will this server from Banana Studio help me better with streaming from my WD My Cloud NAS?
