USB - COAX SPDIF cable support
USB - COAX SPDIF cable support
Hi,
I switched on the Digital switch (SPDI, IEEE 1394) under Audio hardware/Direct usb access, but the Chord Mojo does not receive any digital audio signal through an USB - COAX SPDIF cable
Is there any other required setting I am missing?
Thanks
Lacas

Re: USB - COAX SPDIF cable support
Does it work with a normal micro-usb-cable and without activating the spdif switch ?
Re: USB - COAX SPDIF cable support
Yes, it works through an USB C - USB micro connection.
But Rob Watts suggest to use SPDIF connection on the Mojo if possible to achieve best SQ results.
Hiby R3, R3 Pro and Cayin N3 supports SPDIF through USB C. I have bought a Cayin USB C to SPDIF cable, that is identical to the Hiby cable for this purpose.

Re: USB - COAX SPDIF cable support
Do you have to configure the Mojo for the use of SPDIF ? Perhaps something is missing there.
Re: USB - COAX SPDIF cable support
No. It auto detects source.
I also have a great Human Audio Tabla Pico USB-SPDIF converter. With that it works great, but that is far from a mobile solution

Re: USB - COAX SPDIF cable support
So if you connect your device ( smartphone ? ) to the Tabla ( via normal USB ? ) and connect the tabla via spdif cable to the Mojo it works. Well, I suggest you contact neutronmp@gmail.com , this is a rather special problem. There are few other topics Neutron setting caraudio dealing with SPDIF.
