Actually I believe that it is something wrong on Airsonic/Subsonic DLNA implementation. I've also found some instability in other client's connection experience.
Today I've setup FreeNAS based miniDLNA server with the same content structure and it works just fine with Neutron as a client.
Now I'm able to listen hi-res flacs through home WiFi connection with Neutron!
Same song appears 4 times after scan?
Re: Same song appears 4 times after scan?
That sounds like a DLNA-Sever problem ... perhaps @agusev knows more about this ...
Re: Same song appears 4 times after scan?
OK will that person see this thread? I know nothing about DLNA Servers. I have a QNAP NAS HS-210.
Re: Same song appears 4 times after scan?
Well, you told us about your "UPNP/DLNA devices" :
Re: Same song appears 4 times after scan?
Re: Same song appears 4 times after scan?
Okay, I suggest you contact the QNAP support and ask them how to best configure the QNAP device.
Re: Same song appears 4 times after scan?
I've used it with other apps, like Media Monkey, VCl and one other I forget which. They have recognised the NAS and played songs I just didn't like the interface and clunkiness and so was attracted to some of the richer features of Neutron. So as far as I know the QNAP is just hosting the songs the same way as the other software accessed it. That's why I was suggesting it was potentially a tagging problem and not a UPNP/DNLA one.
Re: Same song appears 4 times after scan?
Yes, perhaps the QNAP device doesn't get along well with multiple tags. You did a full rescan in Neutron ?
Re: Same song appears 4 times after scan?
Yes, more than once. I then deleted the folder and started again. That's when it went from 4 versions to 5. But it isn't the QNAP. As I said in the previous post it hasn't been a problem with other apps, just Neutron. I can even stream direct from the QNAP to my AV receiver without using a mobile app, but that really is a terrible interface and very clunky to use. The point is the QNAP delivers the file along with the song name and band etc without multiplying the number of songs, it shows the exact number. If it was the QNAP surely the other apps would have behaved the same way. Neutron thinks I have over 70k songs and seems to struggle with a database that large. Looks like I may have to continue my search for another app. Shame, I had high hopes for this one.
