hi,
the option "generic driver" doesn't work with HTC 10, no files can be played. Any suggestion for high-res output?

Now it's playing but no hi-res. Tried all combinations of options for Generic driver including Custom options.

Thanks, now its working through Custom Format. Simple Offload doesn't work but it works when in Custom Format the Offload is the only one selected. Strange. Tried all options - all working. Selected all.
Surprised it's working even higher than 192 Khz but sound is dull so I limited it to 192000. Anyway I use Follow Source Frequency and don't have source higher than 96000.

With your settings, I see one device open (/proc/asound/card0/pcm0p/sub0/hw_params) with the following:

rate: 48000 (48000/1)

It doesn't matter what file I play, even with a 24/196 file I always get this. What confuses me is the rate (48000). Does it play high res or does Newton downsample all to 48000?

Sorry, I am not advanced Android user, I have only one option to trust what Neutron shows. It shows changing rate depending on source file.
Difference in sound also present.
If you're using soundmods or customs there is a big fat chance you don't get Hi-Res.
