Scanning files on a QNAP NAS is not working

Post by Slarty » Sun Jan 10, 2016 3:01 am

Hi,

I've been using Neutron for the past year or so using an Ubuntu server and Samba. I recently picked a QNAP NAS to replace that and I'm trying to set it up with Neutron and SMB. I am able to authenticate and see the shares on the NAS, but when I select my Music directory it says 0 songs are scanned. I re-added the Ubuntu server and it works fine. The funny part is that the server is now pointing to the NAS instead of it's local folders. Any pointers in this situation? I tried setting the NAS to use NTLM2 only and I set Neutron to use NTLM2 but no difference. It's like it's not going into the subfolders or something like that. Thanks! Great app too btw!

I'd like to know too. I'm in the market and am considering the QNAP 253A since my stupid Seagate NAS crapped out, and the neutronmp would be great for playing all of my flac and dts music files.
