If you keep screen switched on and have spectrum analyzer active does problem start too?
Yep! Started stuttering about 30s into playback just now.

Thanks for your responsiveness on this. Looking forward to a fix soon.

Just upgraded to 1.79.2

No joy on the fix, still only works without stuttering in the equalizer screen.

One other comment I can make is when it did work properly in a previous version, it took about 30 seconds from the start of playback to stop stuttering. I attributed this to background indexing or some other tasks that had to complete before there was enough CPU to play music without stuttering. To me that suggests that playback was "marginal" in the sense of having just enough priority to play without stuttering. Perhaps in the lastest version some extra background tasks are active that are just slightly too much for smooth playback.

Good luck in the debugging.

Hi all,

My experience is as follows.

All file types crack/drop out on version 1.79.1 (I tried ALAC, FLAC, AAC and MP3). Same goes for streaming radio (Vorbis and AAC I believe). Fortunately I was able to fall back to the previous version as I had a very recent backup. Unfortunately it took me a while to figure out that the Neutron upgrade was at fault, so I wound up doing a security wipe. It took a few hours to get all the media back on the device.

Does anyone know if it is possible to extract the .bar file for an app from the backup? I'm always a bit scared to update Neutron as falling back is such a pain.

Good luck with further debugging- let me know when it works :-)
I'm afraid I'm not going to be guinea pig on this round.

Thanks Dmitry for the hard work.

I have this problem, too. Neutron MP is useless on the playbook since the last two updates! Please bring us back the best music player! The iPhone is not able to play with such a great volume as the playbook with my Sennheiser HD600!

I hope to get a working version back soon!

I forgot: I have this problem with Ogg, even with the equalizer screen!

Just installed the latest update. All the sound issues are now fixed, and in fact the interface (scrolling and selection) seem to be smoother and more responsive than before.

Much thanks for the fix Dmitry.
