Version 1.69.0 nuked m3u playlist capability?

Post by quadstone » Wed Mar 06, 2013 2:36 am

I relied heavily on m3u playlists over the network and now since the 1.69.0 upgrade, that feature is nuked, as far as I can tell. Anybody else? Is there a way to rollback to 1.68.0? My device is a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 with latest OS.

Do you mean M3Us are not played if they are located on network? Are there steps to reproduce it? In any case the fix will follow soon on this week if problem exists.

I confirm the bug. It is fixed now and next update will be either on weekend or beg. of next week.

So far here is previous 1.68.2: http://neutronmp.com/download/NeutronMP_1.68.2.apk

Thanks for promptly addressing that issue... I can wait for the fix. I usually play high resolution flac music files, so putting them on sd memory is out of the question. May I say, the player is amazing sounding and by far outperforms any other I've tried; especially on 24-bit 96kHz flac. Please keep up the good work and thanks again.

What about trying CIFS/SMB support which is since 1.69? You could create source to NAS or PC on LAN share. May be it will be more convenient than playlists.

Yes; I played around with that last night but could not figure it out...yet. I had just been using ES File Explorer to point to my server music folder and clicked on the m3u. Your way would be better, as it would save me creating m3u files for every album I have on the server. I'll work it out eventually I'm sure. Thanks.

I would say that NAS supporting in 1.69 is really amazing.

OK. I'll be sure to work on it tonight again. I don't have my galaxy in front of me here at work, but if I recall, i just go to Settings--> Source -->Network? But i think it requires more than just server Ip? Or more than just server name? Login and password of course, but it still didn't work for me. I was missing something I guess.

You can press on Network entry and see if Neutron can list PCs on LAN if you press on interface (IP of your device). If nothing listed then you need to create new entry with [+] enter IP of end-point, login, password. Also you need to be sure that 'share' is created on end-point.
