Re: question about 32 bit output
I mainly take the music from YouTube after I convert it into the desired format in 32bit 384hz. I imagine that there is a loss of quality and that this is not the ideal way. I mainly listen to 90s techno music. I like having music saved on my hard drive without having to depend on online streaming ...

Re: question about 32 bit output
Fine, if you're happy with that. Although, as you mentioned perfection as a goal of yours, it has to be said, that 32-bit-processing is less perfect than 64-bit-processing. The latter reduces rounding errors in DSP.

Re: question about 32 bit output
Okay, I think I know what's the problem: you look at the "Audio Hardware" screen, that indded says "8.24 int" ... after you've changed the on/off status of 32-bit you first have to save these new settings, then reenter, then you'll see 24 bit if 32-bit is off and 32-bit fp if it is switched on.

Re: question about 32 bit output
my audio files are in wav 32bit 384hz, in Windows the output is 32 bit but in neutron it tells me 8.24bit, when I activate the iee754 output it tells me 32bit int. Please check again. On my Windows 10 it normally shows "24-bit". If I activate "Audio Hardware > 32-bit Output (IEEE754)" it shows "32-...

Re: Does file size and format affect the quality of sounds?
Is there any other apps that you know can do better? Thx. I don't know about "better", but another possibility would be Firefox with Easy Youtube Video Downloader Express extension. One can use it by downloading mp4 videos and then extract the audio stream without further conversion, e.g. as follow...

And now just to make sure: YOU CANNOT IMPROVE QUALITY BY CONVERSION.
