But that isn't my issue... I'm not connecting to a router, but am using "ad hoc" mode
to connect directly (device to device) to a wifi receiver. This is more likely a software bug...

I have already contacted them, requesting a possible plugin for neutronmp... I wanted to alert you, too, so that perhaps you can "join forces" with Crintsoft...
