Similar for me. I'm on a Pixel 3a running the latest Android and a recent update to Neutron reset all my preferences to default and I've tried the steps above but can't make artwork visible.

In the main Neutron UI, tap on the icon next to the song name. It will bring up a series of icons above it, one of which is a folder. Tap on the folder. You may need to tap once on the back button when you get here to show the folder hierarchy instead of a flat list of folders. I run everything off ...

One thing I really like about how Neutron handles cover art is that it doesn't seem to care about the format--jpeg, png, gif; it all works. Nice. Not true of all players.

Love Neutron--I use it to stream music off my NAS. A few questions: * I usually handle cover art through a folder.jpg file. These aren't always square. In the main UI, Neutron handles these just fine. When browsing folders, though, the aspect ratio of the artwork is changed to make it fit the square...
