Yes, it works. But not with the system EQ. Without doubt Neutron's DSP is the best third-party EQ. But no third-party EQ can compete with the system EQ as far as power, volume, and skull-rattling bass is concerned. That's why Viper4Android requires root... to become the system DSP (can't root NEX 3 ...

As I said, Neutron as well as the others mentioned don't support the system DSP, so I can't use the system EQ with the player. I have enabled "DSP effect (device)" in Settings, of course.

I removed tags and that did the trick, retagged them and everything's fine. Curious though, I had no problems in JetAudio and Poweramp.

Five FLAC tracks in a folder - each track multiplied EIGHT times, so FORTY tracks listed when there should be only five. Other players show five, file explorer shows five. Rescanned, no difference. Deleted Neutron database, no difference. Deleted the tracks from phone thinking they might be corrupt ...
