hello i have a motorola xoom stock wifi with a 32 gig external micro sd card. this is where my music is.
when i had ics neutron music player worked fine. received an update to jellybean now i cannot scan external microsdcard,
can olny listen from internal storage. i have received an update to fix this problem. but it did not help still not working.
Please help. do you have any ideas i can try.

And in 1.62 the problem persists? Could you please tell what is the path to external SD on your device when you are using File Manager?

File manager HD says SDCARD0 that is internal and sdcard1 is external

I see. But /storage/sdcard0, /storage/sdcard1 shall be mapped on your device to /mnt/sdcard (for /storage/sdcard0) and /mnt/extSdCard (for /storage/sdcard1), isn't so? For other users who updated to Jelly Bean it was like that. 1.62 shall be able to list contents of /mnt folder and thus you shall be able to select 'extSdCard' item for scanning. Could you please clarify what you see in /mnt.

Sorry I took so long. In mnt I have sdcard that is internal but not sdcard1 .
No path in sdcard. Either

There is 1.62.1 version released which you can try as following:

- in Settings -> Database -> scroll to bottom and activate ROOT FOLDER
- go to Playlist screen -> scroll to Sources -> use NEW button to create new source
- you will see instead of /mnt entry entry named /, that is very root of your device
- tap / and find the mounts of your device
