I use Neutron for DJing at Tango dances. For dancers it is nice to have a pause of a few seconds between songs so they can relax their arms from the tango embrace. Quite a lot of my songs don't have a natural pause at the end. Is there any way I can get Neutron to automatically pause between songs in a playlist?
As a suggestion it would be fantastic if Neutron could treat the duration set after EXTINF as though it were the actual duration.

Playlist song gaps
Re: Playlist song gaps
Hi Finnian,
There is no such functionality to force pause in between tracks. It can be implemented as a feature though. Will put it into to-do list for further considerations and thus moving this thread to Development section.
Best regards,
Dmitry.

Re: Playlist song gaps
Some very simplistic apps out there (e.g. "Songer") are selling to MUSICIANS, SINGERS, and DJ's...
SOLELY due to the complete lack of a large-button, large-font skin showing an advancing playlist, with an automatic PAUSE after every song.
That allows the user to easily glance down, accept the next song in the playlist by hitting a large 'Play' button, or tapping/rearranging the playlist to select a different song and then tapping the Play button.
The immense effort that has gone into Neutron, for high quality playback, could definitely benefit the large-system, highly amplified stage performers that MUST have a 'gig-set'-based simple interface that includes NEVER automatically playing a 'next song' unless that option has been specifically selected.
In fact, if you can Auto-Pause, wait for Play-button, then you could likely add a quick options page that simply asks:
How many seconds should be inserted between songs?
Radio buttons for: 0,1,2,3,4,5,PAUSE-for-Play-Button.
That would be perfect...and flexible...and extremely useful.
Do this 'waiting' while allowing manipulation of the current playlist order or reselecting of next-song, and you have the perfect beast for preferred Music Player for performers.

agree, waiting for this feature
Re: Playlist song gaps
But you are aware that Neutron has a Playback Mode called 'Play Track Once'? Here it wil only play the song, then stop.
