Is there a way to know whether my Samsung Note 2 supports NEON or not?

Samsung Note 2's CPU supports NEON extensions. It is only Tegra2 which does not.

Any reason why the NEON version is force closing on my HTC One X+? And when I install the non-NEON version it force closes too? Not good. Got no music player now :(

I do not know why it is crashing for you because HTC One X+ has Tegra3 which has NEON implemented already (unlike Tegra2). It can be a fault of CPU on your device. Try basic VFP version because Tegra2 were not slower without NEON.

I tried installing Neutron NEON on my Galaxy Note 2 for the Play Store and it crashes. The regular Neutron Player works fine though. I'm using the APKs from the download section on your site. Just a heads up.

Hi, thank you for the great player! I have exactly the same problem on Galaxy Note 2. NEON version crashes.

I think it might be because I have 64 bit rendering on and that they're incompatible? I could be wrong. From what I read, NEON is only for more efficient visual processing and doesn't actually improve audio quality. I think I would rather have 64 bit rendering than NEON if that is the case.

NEON CPU instructions are able to do single operation on multiple variables with single instruction and it give performance boost. E.g. NEON does not affect audio quality but it just makes decoding, processing faster. Here are more details: http://www.arm.com/products/processors/ ... s/neon.php

If NEON version is crashing on Neutron you could try to uninstall previous non-NEON version and install NEON, if it keeps crashing then there is something wrong with CPU of the device (faulty NEON unit).

Thank you, it worked! I deleted the Neutron DB in the adroid folder now before installing the NEON version.

For the future, to avoid loosing settings during reinstallation you could follow this Q from FAQ:

Q: After uninstallation and then reinstallation I have all my settings lost, is it possible to avoid that?
