Uncheck Settings > Audio Hardware > Hardware Gain as indicated in screenshots above, then the volume slider on the eq screen will switch from hardware gain to pos-eq gain.

1. run Google Play Music, and play a music.
2. stop the Google Play Music.
3. run NeutronMP, enjoy the music...

Will he have to do that just once ? Or each time before starting Neutron ?

Thank you lovecrt, that seems to work. I haven't had a chance to try this on a long drive, but a quick check in my garage did work and that's farther than I've gotten in the past. I'll let you know once I'm sure that gives a consistent solution. I really appreciate the help because I've been using Google Play, and it just doesn't sound as good as NeutronMP!
