BTW, are there ways to delete multiple playlists?
Yes : Long press on the playlist that you want to delete, then press "Remove".

As to "multiple" : long press a playlist, choose "+ Muliselection", choose multiple playlists, then you can delete multiple playlists. Please try with test playlists first, so that you won't delete the songs instead of the playlists, I only briefly tested it.

I deleted the playlist source and added it again. Now I am able to see the playlists (this time with the correct number of songs listed on them instead of 0). But when I tap on any of the playlists, it goes to a blank page with no music playing.

Yes, I can play the songs alone, and they play when I make a new playlist within the playlist.

Hmm, i just tried playing the playlist on VLC (unsuccessfully) and I was able to screen save this image that shows that the "location" is the G drive on my PC. Maybe that's the problem? Nevertheless Poweramp was able to play this list (albeit with "static" ...in the car)
Okay, so playing music with and without playlists generally works for you. It seems that PowerAmp is very lenient/clever regarding the information in the playlist files.

@Everybody : any hints as to the best practice for importing iTunes-playlists with links to the music situated on an external drive on a PC ?

If no idea or experience is forthcoming then you could write to the developer at neutronmp@gmail.com, perhaps he can help.
