Crashes on Fiio M6

Hey everyone,
I seem to be getting crashes on my Fiio M6.
Neutron seems to be playing fine till the end of a song, then it stops instead of continuing to the next song.
When I turn the screen back on, it’s back to the home screen.
I’ve tried with default settings and with turning Service on and off but it appears to make no difference.
It’s quite random and cannot reproduce at will.
Any ideas?

I have exactly the same problem.
Still no ideas?

With which Neutron Version ? 2.11 or 2.12 ?
Are there any options on your device to optimize applications for less power consumption ? If yes, can you exempt Neutron from this ?

It's Version 2.10 from the Fiio withelist. (https://www.fiio.com/newsinfo/91534.html)
Haven't any energy optimization active.

edit: Can't install other versions.

It is possible to install other versions that are not whitelisted from the FiiO website. I am using this version http://neutronmp.com/downloads/file/8-neutronmpapkneon I update whenever a new version comes out.

The FiiO website apps is just a demo and can install new versions.

Thank you so much Raone! :)

Perhaps you could provide further information about the format of the music you play and the audio hardware settings.
Do you play tracks with various resolutions ( sampling rate, bit-depth, encoding ) ? Could it be that switching between such tracks causes the problems ?
Do you have any fading options active ? If not, does perhaps enabling fading help ?

Yes, I play with various resolutions (Flac, Wav, 16Bit, 24Bit...) but the problem even occurs when I play an album.
I've tried with fading on, no difference. There is no recognizable reproducible pattern.
Sometimes it crashes during the first song, sometimes I can hear 4-5 songs untill it crashes.

Do you use high-resolution-output ? Could you try to reduce the system load by setting a sampling rate of 48 kHz, no 64 bit processing etc ? ( not that it should make a difference, but perhaps it does ..., then we'd know that it might be a ressource problem )

As you have guessed, no difference.
