Output to Yamaha Musiccast
Output to Yamaha Musiccast
First off - I have been using Neutron since 2011 (Blackberry Playbook) and have always been impressed with the quality of the product. It seems very rare these days that so much time, energy and effort goes into not just the initial release - but serious ongoing development. Thank you.
My question - I have Yamaha MusicCast throughout my house and I really enjoy the system. Recently I have started outputting from Neutron on my Android phone to my MusicCast speakers and the sound is quite good - but I want it to be the best it can be and I'm curious if anyone has any recommendations as to output settings for best playback over MusicCast.
Source music is mostly iTunes 44k files stored on the SD card on the phone.
Thanks

Re: Output to Yamaha Musiccast
Hello,
I also use musiccast, and really enjoy the system.
But how did you get it to work with Neutron, I didn't know this was possible!
Regards
Florian

Re: Output to Yamaha Musiccast
Hi Florian.
When I go to the "Output To" option - all of my Musiccast speakers show up. You can only send to one at a time - but then if you want to use more than one speaker, you can link them together in the Musiccast app. So far this has been (what I perceive) to be the best quality music I can get to my Musiccast speakers, but I was hoping somebody might know the settings I would use to send out the best quality possible for Musiccast.
Hope that helps.
Jeremy

Impossible connection on android TV and MusicCast amp
Hi, For some time I can no longer connect Neutron on my Android TV and my Yamaha home theater amp compatible MusicCast. I have another app that comes with my phone that works perfectly.
I uninstalled/reinstalled Neutron but without success.
I look to you for help

Re: Impossible connection on android TV and MusicCast amp
Several months ago.. Since then, I have changed my equipment.. It's hard to say where it came from.
Why it works with the brand player and why not with Neutron?

Re: Impossible connection on android TV and MusicCast amp
How do you try to connect ? Do you activate "Settings > Outout To" and then expect the devices to show up ?
Re: Impossible connection on android TV and MusicCast amp
Yes, absolutely.. I choose devices I want
Re: Impossible connection on android TV and MusicCast amp
Actually, I've a shortcut above the screen.
Probably like many people.

I found this here :
So you might try the musiccast app to somehow define a musiccast output target.jermaster wrote: ↑Tue Sep 18, 2018 10:57 pmWhen I go to the "Output To" option - all of my Musiccast speakers show up. I further suggest you contact neutronmp@gmail.com, they'll know how to analyze this.
