UPNP/DLNA set up not working

Following the instructions given here to connect to a UPNP/DLNA server but there is nothing appearing under the media library sources to link to a UPNP server. I've just done this succesfully on the same device using UAPP which worked fine. There don't seem to be any options in NMP for connecting to a UPNP server. When I click on 'Add source' I don't get any network options. Does NMP still support this? Come to think of it I have never seen any option in the Media Library to connect to a server. Regarding UPNP I've only seen an option under "play if output attached" which by the way seems like a useless menu.
