Hello
First Post on this Forum
I am still relatively new to using NeutronMP (paid version) and I’m finding it a bit fiddly but I’m getting there.
One thing I am really struggling with is FTP access to my WD MyCloud drive when not on my own network.
I have a fixed external IP address, I have fixed the internal IP address so that it’s always a constant reference. The FTP port is open.
I have found out where to put the address into NeutronMP (Settings…Media Library…Sources…) Next press the plus sign to add information. I’ve selected FTP. Then another plus to add the address, login and password. The login and password are straight forward I think it’s my WD MyCloud User ID and password.
The bit I’m really struggling with is the address. I’ve tried ftp://123.456.789.01:21 then added all sorts to get through. (example:/WDMyCloud/UserShare/Music). Obviously not the real details but is demonstrates what I’m doing
All I need is a format of that FTP address if anyone can please help
Andy
Accessing WD MyCloud using FTP
Re: Accessing WD MyCloud using FTP
not going to happen.
WD wants you to go through the relay(mycloud.com)for external connections
I got rid of my mycloud because of that reason and bought a synology nas
it's a shame too ,because there not a bad unit

Re: Accessing WD MyCloud using FTP
Thank you for the response and information. Time to change NAS then or look for alternative firmware.
