Can't Add Music

I installed Neutron to my Moto G5 Plus Android 7.0, then I let the app automatically try to find my music. It failed to do so, only finding a bunch of odd clicks and buzzes I assume are Android noises, and some titles of sounds that looked like they might be from a game. I poked around and eventually deleted all of those. But now when I try to add my music, I go to Internal Storage (storage/emulated/0), choose 'Music' and all it says is "NO DIRECTORIES INSIDE". I push the check mark, the red bar at the top moves across the screen a bunch of times, presumably refreshing for a few minutes. Still no music.

Is the app not compatible with my Android?
