search for songs by artist not working

If I use the global search feature and enter a name, eg 'madonna' the search is able to find the artist properly. The problem is that a click on the artist name does nothing. An older version was working: it used to bring you to the albums an songs of the artist. I am not even able to list songs by ar artist.
This is an extremly important feature.
