Re: Why use an external DAC?
If Neutron is bypassing the Android OS to process at 64-bit (versus 16-bit)...... isn't that what a DAC does? an external DAC bypasses the built-in one of your device, being a dedicated electronics it's expected to give better performances in terms of signal to noise ratio, channel separation, etc ...

Re: neutron automatically starts to connected bluetooth
there are several settings in "Connection and Controls",

Re: Neutron MP vs Usb Audio Player Pro (UAPP)
A better than Uapp in my point of view is HF Player , I deleted Uapp and use Hf player instead but neutron, never ever. When keep neutron to reference a long time, then delete or stop, finally neutron is my most use app. I tried the Onkyo player but honestly I really don't like its UI .. listening ...

Re: DSP Effect
to my knowledge, the Crossfeed is for headphones (it partially mixes left and right channels), while Sorround is for speakers

Re: Does the volume control work in steps of 1%?
Yes, the bug, or maybe I should say 'behaviour' is still there even with VolumeSteps+ installed. If I select an odd numbered volume in Neutron and exit and re-enter Neutron (as described above) it will jump to the nearest even number. E.g. '57' will jump to '58'. ah! OK, sorry I didn't understand t...

Re: Does the volume control work in steps of 1%?
hi, I'm glad you find my suggestion useful ;) but I don't understand if you notice the "bug" also with VolumeSteps+ installed: I'm using that Xposed module with 50 steps (for the same your reason) with no problems, with Neutron and any other music player. However, to check the problem, keep in mind ...
