Re: Debugging USB DAC (if crashing or not recognized)

p.s. I should have mentioned that the Dragonfly works fine with NeutronMP and my Kindle Fire, but not with my Blackberry Passport (international version). I have been told that USB OTG does work on the device, and there are a few Fiio models that work correctly.

Re: Crackling

Thanks. I tried your suggestions, and I think they helped a little, but it is still annoying.

Crackling

Hi Dmitry. I am running Neutron MP on a Kindle Fire (version 5) with an AudioQuest DragonFly DAC and JitterBug. I had been getting various, intermittent crackling noises before, that went away when I upgraded to 1.88.2. Now they are back in 1.88.3 (not as bad as before, but still there) Do you know ...

Re: USB DAC support on USB OTG enabled devices

I just got my Kindle Fire 5 working with an AudioQuest Dragonfly and a generic USB OTG cable. Sounds good with my ATH A900's, and just killer with the (much cheaper) Grado SR-60's. Also using a USB power injector cable to power the DAC (not necessary, but helps the battery life, since I obviously ca...

Re: From Playbook to Kindle

I know it is not proper etiquette to answer one's own question, but here it is anyway:

1. In my opinion, the audio quality of the Kindle is not as good as the Playbook.

2. Neutron MP works very well with the Audioquest Dragonfly, if you have the correct USB OTG (On the Go) cable.

From Playbook to Kindle

Someone stole my Playbook 64GB, so I ordered a six-pack of those new low-end Kindle Fires. They should be here in early November. I have two questions: 1. Does anyone know how the audio quality of the Kindle will (or might) stack up against the PB? 2. If the answer to (1) is that the Kindle quality ...

Re: Volume change delay?

You're right. It just happened again, and I noticed that I usually change volume when a song starts, and that is the same place we are having the system load problem. So I guess you can flag this as a duplicate of that issue.

Volume change delay?

Has there been any change in the latest release (1.71?) that would cause a delay in the volume change when pressing the volume buttons on the side of the PlayBook? I never noticed this behavior before.

Playbook Stutter?

I seem to be getting a short stutter about 3 seconds into some songs. It does not seem to be related to the music format or to the presence/absence of album art. I have WiFi turned off, nothing else is running, and Power Save is on. So is Gapless playback. I don't *think* it is something else on the...
