I've installed the update, same thing still happens.
Now I'm running a leaked version of ICS on A500, works perfectly now.
My guess is the Acer official honeycomb roms have some bad cpu tweaks when in sleep mode.

cleared data, uninstall and reinstalled from market. same thing still happens, as soon as screen turns off, music stops, resumes when screen wakes. I'm very sure it is not a CPU problem. only happens to Acer Iconia A500/501. Motorola Xoom, Asus Transformer (all tegra2) works though. I think it's som...

The screen off music stops playing problems happens to all Acer Iconia A501/500. I was using the Neutron Widget to play music on my A500, when the screen automatically turns off (set in settings), the music will stop. Music will resume when you wake the device.
